Temporary pet care when people need support most.

Recovery Tails Society helps people access treatment, hospitalization, and other critical life transitions by ensuring their pets have safe, temporary care.

What we do

We provide short-term foster care for pets when their ownersare unable to care for them due to treatment and hospitalization.

Our work focuses on keeping people and their animals connected, so no one has to choose between getting help and keeping their pet.

Why this matters

For many people, pets are family.

Without support, individuals may delay or avoid treatment, hospitalization, or other critical services because they have no safe place for their animal to go.

RTS exists to remove that barrier. By supporting pet care, we support people.

Founders

Recovery Tails Society was founded by people working directly in mental health, recovery, and community support.

Priya and Kayleigh bring experience in mental health and addictions care, working closely with individuals navigating complex systems and life transitions. We are both passionate and committed to creating community based support.
